Sheringham Celebrations, Friday 14th

Posted on Friday, May 14th, 2021

Hello Sheringham,

I hope you have had a good week. One of the class highlights was resuming our Music lessons again with Miss Berners. It made for a great Monday afternoon!

We also had lots of fun finishing our Greek vases:

We have given out several rewards this week for times tables and reading. I love the photo of a very proud Lewis!

We also gave out some special pencils to those children who are consistently reading at home. Well done to Oscar, Victor, Emma, Layla and Dominique.

Have a lovely weekend Sheringham. Looking forward to what we will be celebrating next week!

Sheringham Celebrations, Friday 7th

Hello Sheringham,

Well who would have thought it was the start of May? We’ve had thunder, rain and even hail this week. Maybe the sunshine is waiting for the weekend!

Congratulations this week goes to Victor who achieved a certificate for his times tables:

As a reminder to all of you; please keep going over your times tables. I would love to present many more certificates!

We’ve had homework this week based on our Science, RE, English and Ancient Greece Topic. A super effort from Layla and Summer. Thank you girls!

Have a lovely weekend Sheringham. Enjoy the sun!

Mrs Moyle

Sheringham Celebrations, Friday 30th

Posted on Friday, April 30th, 2021

Hey Sheringham class. I wonder what the highlight of your week at school was? I can think of so many great lessons we did; it is hard to think of just 1!

On Monday, we enjoyed painting our Greek jars:

Layla made her very own Greek pot at home. We were all super impressed in Sheringham when she showed it to us:

We loved giving some certificates out this week too. Well done to Max and Kian for achieving the next level on Lexia.

Congratulations to Leon and Kian on their times tables.

We have a challenge on next week to see how many certificates we can give out, so keep up the hard work at home of learning your spellings and times tables.

Sheringham, it was such fun learning about Alexander the Great today in our Topic lesson. What great questions you had! If you want to keep having a go at the song, here it is – just for you!

On the theme of Ancient Greece, well done to Layla, who drew a picture of one of their gods called Poseidon, god of the sea.

Have a lovely long weekend,

Mrs Moyle.

Another week of some great work in Sheringham class, both within the school day and after.

Well done to Tyler and Emma on achieving their Times tables certificates.

Tyler was on a roll as he also achieved his next level in Lexia.

At home, Layla has written a light poem:

Dominique has designed a reflective jacket:

Don’t forget that you can log into Education City. There is work set, which will change after the weekend.

Sheringham Celebrations, Friday 16th

Welcome back Sheringham to the summer term! We have had a full class this week, which is a great start.

The highlight of the week was our Topic day on Ancient Greece. We got to try Greek food, which had a mixed reaction!

We did a timeline to find out when the Ancient Greeks lived. This went back a very long way from 2021!

As well as writing our names using the Greek alphabet, we enjoyed making our own laurel crowns.

Layla loved doing her Greek writing so much, that she continued practising at home. If you can’t read Greek, don’t worry as she has helped us!

A great fun way to start the beginning of term!

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Moyle

Sheringham Celebrations, 26th March

We’ve made it to the end of term Sheringham! Well done to all, whether you have been in school a few weeks or since January.

We’ve had a great week. All of us loved celebrating Book Day in our pyjamas and with our soft toys – some toys were bigger than others, even taking a whole chair!

Enjoy the photos:

This week, Layla received a certificate for the homework she has completed, not only this week, but this term. She is an inspiration!

Here is some of Layla’s latest work. Make sure you listen to her performing her own poem:

This is a photo of the fantastic Dinosaur fossil that Dominique made.

We have been trying really hard with our handwriting this week. Congratulations to Brody who has made great progress.

Congratulations to Victor and Sonny, our superstars on Education City this week.

Sheringham, all that remains for me to say is have a wonderful and safe Easter break!

Sheringham Celebrations, 19th March

Posted on Friday, March 19th, 2021

Sheringham class, I feel like you all deserve to pat yourselves on the back and say “well done!” You have worked so incredibly hard, especially on your stories about a character that changes.

Some of our lessons were certainly very memorable, like Science. We actually showed step by step what happens to our food when we eat it. It was a bit gruesome in places; I’m glad you all had eaten your lunch! Here are some of our photos; children make sure you tell your adult what is happening in each picture!

It was great to see that Sonny, who has been shielding at home, has done some Science work on digestion too.

At home, some of you have continued to do some homework. I always love to see what you have done.

Based on our Topic work on Dinosaurs, Lewis has made a brilliant fossil and also written a story.

Missy has written her favourite recipe. If you love spaghetti bolognese, she is the girl to speak to!

Layla has done some research on what different animals eat and has been able to say if they are herbivores, carnivores or omnivores.

Well done also to Emma, Layla and April who each had a go at activities on Education City.

Thank you for a great week Sheringham! You have been all been super stars, as well as superheroes!

Enjoy your weekend,

Mrs Moyle

Sheringham Celebrations, 12th March

Hello Sheringham,

Welcome Back!

How nice it has been to see your faces again and hear all your excited chat. I think you were all glad to be back at school!

It has been a great week, although we are all glad it is Friday! We have had to work so hard!

As well as working hard at school, some children have also been really busy at home. A massive shout-out Layla and Lewis, who have loved doing dinosaur homework. We have been really impressed in class by the high standard shown.

Only a few children have looked at Education City this week; great work Emma and Victor! Don’t forget to have a look at the many activities to support you with your work.

Well done for having a great first week back. Enjoy your weekend,

Mrs Moyle

Sheringham Celebrations, 5th March

Posted on Friday, March 5th, 2021

Hello Sheringham,

This week has been a great week! We have been able to come together for our Literacy and Numeracy lessons; thank you to all who have joined  and shared work. Although we are celebrating Book Day later in the month, it was brilliant to be able to read some stories today. Thank you for all your smiles, thumbs up and hearts at the choice of books, ‘The Selfish Crocodile’ and ‘The World made a Rainbow.’

How nice it will be when we can be all together once more from Monday. We are so ready and exited in Sheringham to see you!

It is always a joy to celebrate those that have been continuing learning at home. Well done to Summer who has a certificate for her work on Lexia waiting for her on her return to school.

Great to see that some have been working on Education City also:

Your homework grid for this half-term is on the blog. A shout-out must go this week to Layla, who has completed, not just one, but multiple pieces of work. Fantastic job!

Layla has made her favourite recipe of pancakes with chocolate sauce, banana and whipped cream. It looks yummy! She has even written the instructions, so I know what I am going to be doing this weekend!

Linked with our work on Science, Layla has also made a plate, showing the different food groups.

Have a lovely weekend Sheringham! Get lots of rest and be ready for a super week back at school!
