Well done this week to those children who completed all their homework over the half term holiday, and remembered to bring it back –
Kimberley, Arminas, Amber and Theo.
Also well done who have gone up a level in their Tackling Tables this week:
Leon, Brodie, Amber, Sophie, Azuolas, Emilijus, Amanda, Evie, and Madalin.
This week we have started our SRE work, and began by drawing what we thought the ‘perfect’ man or woman looked like. Boys drew the perfect man and girls drew the perfect woman.
The results were very interesting!
The girls didn’t think the man looked perfect and the boys didn’t think the woman looked perfect. We thought about where we got these ideas of the ‘perfect’ man and woman, and whether this was a realistic expectation of ourselves.
We are becoming journalists this half term and have been looking at how news stories can affect our self-esteem and our mental health, and strategies we can use to help us and others.
Watch this space for more news!
Just a reminder that swimming is on Fridays and is a compulsory subject on the curriculum – please make sure you have your swimming kit unless I know of a medical reason that prevents you from swimming for that week.
Have a good weekend
