Winterton, let’s celebrate – it’s the weekend!
Well done Winterton – we have made it to the end of the 5th Half term – only 1 more to go and then it will be time for big changes!
Many good things happened this week.
Firstly well done to all those who have moved onto the next set of Tackling Tables:
As you can see, we are definitely improving our knowledge and accuracy in our multiplication, division and application of facts.
Also this week, we have some ‘over and above’ children (children who have gone either out of their way to do extra work, or children who have impressed me this week.
Kylie for remembering and using maths terminology; Kimberley who has produced a video explaining how tornadoes are formed (a link with out topic work) and last but not least – Isla who was really helpful today, peer teaching another group of children!
Congratulations to the 5 children who won the lucky dip attendance award this week:
We completed some STEM paper challenges on Thursday. Here are some of the results:
We used only A4 paper (1 or 2 sheets) glue and scissors, and we made:
the longest paper chains
the tallest tower
the strongest chairs (that could hold a teddy bear)
the strongest tables (that could hold a glue stick)
the most waterproof cups
with a variety of successes!
Well done Winterton – you have worked well this week. Enjoy your half term break!
See you on Monday 7th June.
