News from Blakeney Class

Last week was one to rememer!

In science, the children were busy making electrical circuits and investigating what happened to light bulbs, motors and buzzers when the voltage was increased. The room was filled with the sound of wizzing and buzzing and the giggles that went with it.

We also finally managed to get the hall so that we could complete our DT Tomato Challenge. The children had to come up with a solution for farmers in Nepal who needed to get their tomatos down the mountain side to the markets. They had to get as many tomatoes down the ‘mountain’ as quickly as possible withought damaging any. Many tomatoes made it safely to market but some also got stuck half way down the mountain. Others landed with a splat! It was a lot of fun and the children learned something in the process.
