Thornham Celebrations 26th

We’ve made it to the end of term Thornham! Well done to all, whether you have been in school a few weeks or since January.

We’ve had a great week. All of us loved celebrating Book Day in our pyjamas and  slippers with our soft toys. We enjoyed listening to several stories during the day.

We have been busy this week creating our chronological report all about Spiders! We have found out some interesting facts along the way. All the children have worked extremely hard with their handwriting and presentation this week – well done Thornham!

We have also been learning about  ‘The Easter Story’ and how Christians celebrate all over the world. We now know why we celebrate by eating Hot Cross Buns and chocolate eggs!.  We have also made some lovely Easter Cards here are  few examples.

I have sent home a list of the 100 high frequency words- if you have any spare time in the holidays please practise reading the words so you can sight read them quickly.  This will help  with your fleuncy and confidence in reading.

Finally, I hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday. I look forward to seeing you all  back on Tuesday 13th April.

Mrs Stanley
