Winterton’s last week of 2020
Good morning everyone, especially Jack, Leon and Kimberley who cannot be in school at the moment.
This week we need to finish our literacy unit looking at persuasive writing. You will be writing your HOT TASK on Wednesday where you get to write about the new gadget you have invented. On the way we will look at how to write quotations correctly so you can add this to your toolkit to write effective persuasive writing. We also will be working on the structure of this genre of writing. Lots to do.

When you have finished watching all these live teaching lessons, you will be fully equipped to write your own invented HOT TASK. Have fun!
In numeracy we will be doing more Christmas themed work.
Monday: 12 Days of Christmas
Tuesday: The Mystery of the Lost Christmas Presents
Wednesday: Christmas Addition and subtraction workbook
Thursday: Christmas Coordinates
As this year has been very challenging we are going to spend this week feeling festive and bringing cheer to the classroom. We will be making Christmas stars to display; robins, Rudolphs, paper chains and completing our Christmas booklets. And we have a special surprise on Thursday where we can have a good laugh – oh yes we can!
Finally – Winterton you have worked hard this year and have made progress in your learning. Some of you find some areas of the curriculum difficult, while others find learning less challenging. Whatever, I am proud of your efforts and you deserve a relaxing and enjoyable Christmas break. Enjoy being with your families and have a great time. January will not be long in coming and then we all need to start again, having good attitudes to learning and enjoying making yet more progress.
Merry Christmas to you all and a happy new year!
Take care, keep safe and keep smiling
Mrs. M 🙂
