Spellings – This week we will be learning some of the year 3/4 statutory spellings. Here’s your spelling list for this week. Make sure you Look, Read, Cover, Write and Check your spellings and remember, practise makes perfect! English – This week we will be continuing to work on our poetry unit. Have you learnt The Sound Collector poem? Can you recall it without looking?

If you are confident, then look through the poem and identify the rhyming words. Print out the poem and colour in the rhyming pairs. Once you have completed this, it’s time for you to be a Sound Collector! Go on a sound walk and use the recording sheet to record what you can hear.

English – Today, have a go at writing your own Sound Collectors poem. You can use the sounds that you collected the other day or you could collect some more. If you would like to, you could change the poem and write a poem on collecting smells! It’s up to you.

Look at a map of the United Kingdom and locate some of the seaside resorts – can you find Blackpool, Scarborough, Brighton, Eastbourne and Hunstanton?
Pick a seaside resort and find out what there is to do there. Why might people visit? Create a poster to advertise visiting the resort.
