Brancaster Weekly Blog Friday 20th November
We have had another fantastic week here in Brancaster Class with some amazing learning taking place.
In maths this week, the children have been continuing with addition and subtraction. We have worked on word problems and we have been using a bar model to help us to understand our questions. We have explored inverse and how to use inverse calculations to check our answers.
Brancaster Class, can you explain this to one of your adults at home? Have a go and teach them all something new!
In English this week we have been innovating and writing a class story about Jack. We have used a story planner to help us with the structure. We have also been using fronted adverbials to create suspense in our stories. Some of you are writing suspense stories at home, make sure you share them with me.
Music was fun this week and we are all (myself included) becoming more confident with playing the ukulele! Well done to Rinalds who was named our musician of the week for his Rock Star moves!
In science this week we explored pitch. We made our own pan pipes, apologies if these were a bit noisy on the way home from school!
Well done to those of you who have sent in homework this week! Here’s this week’s gallery.
Well done to those of you who have completed the Education City work. A fantastic number of you working hard and taking responsibility for your own learning, well done! Don’t forget, the games and activities will be there till Sunday afternoon!
Swimming Next Week
Next week groups C and D will be swimming on Tuesday – don’t forget your kits!
Have an amazing weekend. Stay safe and well.
