Welcome once again to another brand new week.

This is the last week before we break up for half term.

 

Maths

Year 1 – Unit 2 Power maths – lesson 3, 4, and 5 – we will continue to work with number bonds and related facts.

Year 2 – Unit 1 Power maths – lesson 6, 7, 8 and 9 – we will compare numbers, order numbers and count in 2’s, 5s and 10s.

We will continue to read and write numbers to 100.

Please continue to practise correct number formation, counting in twos and tens.

 

Phonics

We have now revisited all of the year 2 and 3 sounds.  Please continue to read these and practise writing them so you are very confident when reading and writing unfamiliar words.

  • Describe how animals obtain their food from plants and other animals, using the idea of a simple food chain.  
  • Identify and name different sources of food by making a variety of food chains
