Celebrating our learning in Brancaster Bubble
We have been working hard in Brancaster Bubble this week.
In topic this week we have been exploring mountain ranges. We are learning about mountain ranges in the UK but we also learnt that Mount Everest was the tallest mountain in the world. We have been super lucky to meet (virtually) with Joshua this week (Mrs Emery’s son) who, in 2019, went to Mount Everest and walked to Everest’s base camp. The children had some amazing questions for Joshua and we all learnt a lot from him!
As part of a mindfulness session we looked at drawing mountain ranges. The children wowed us with their work!
In maths, we have been exploring negative numbers, we have also been practising counting in 25’s – here’s a fab song to help you remember these number facts –
In English we have been exploring fronted adverbials. Here’s a reminder for you,
I am super proud of how hard the children are working with their writing. We are seeing beautiful handwriting and many of the children are taking much greater care over their punctuation and sentences.
Once again, we have had some lovely homework in this week. Well done to all the children who have been working hard at home!
Some of the children are working with Mrs Emery on their phonic sounds. Here are the sounds to practise at home!
Have a great weekend everyone!
