Our Week In Holkham
This week in Holkham we have been working hard and having fun. Our first congratulations go to Piper who was chosen as Musician of the week by Miss Berners.
We also had lots of fun playing percussion instruments along with some music.
In English this week we have been looking at different types of sentences and we have practiced writing them in class. Please encourage your children to write sentences at home and check they are using capital letters, full stops and conjunctions to join two simple sentences together.
This lesson may help them.
In science we continued to investigate magnets. here are some pictures . Please ask your children about the lesson.
This week we continued to look at sculpture in art and we tried to sculpt a person from clay to look similar to Anthony Gormley’s beach sculptures which can be found on Crosby Beach in Merseyside.
We practiced all the techniques first.
Well done to all the children who have completed homework this week. It has been great to see what you have been up to on a Friday afternoon and over the weekends. The homework grid is at the top of our class blog page!
