Friday 9th October, 2020 Cromer Bubble Blog
Hello Cromer Bubble,
Another week gone. Time is going quicker and quicker!
It’s been a busy week. We had our school photos taken on Tuesday.
In science we worked on day and night. Emily did a beautiful piece of work, take a look:
We did some interesting work in R.E. this week. Zayd was able to help us pronounce some of the Arabic works – thank you, Zayd.
We’ve also made good progress in tackling tables this week, here we are hard at work:
In topic this week we looked at single use plastics, landfill and recycling. We were horrified by the landfill sites. So much waste can be recycled or reused. If you want to watch Ella and Amy’s video again, “Kids Against Plastic”, here is the link: https://www.ted.com/talks/amy_ella_meek_kids_against_plastic?language=en
In Cromer Bubble we thought that we would be ‘Plastic Smart’ by:
- Picking up our rubbish (T)
- Recycle a lot (Jack)
- Reuse what we have (Reuben)
- Avoid using single use plastics (A)
- Do the ‘3Rs’ – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (Jack)
- Use ‘rubbish’ for crafts! (Pippa)
- Buy reusable bottles (M)
There’s been some great work in Power Maths this week, well done: Preston, Erica, Charlie, Kacie, Reuben, Jamie, Annabelle, Harlee and Nicole.
World Mental Health Day is tomorrow (10th October) but as we are not at school tomorrow we decided to mark the day today. Lots of us wore yellow:
This week a lot of people got 10 out of 10 on their spelling tests. Well done to: Annabelle, Charlie, Jessica, Nicole, Natasha, Kamile, Ellerslie, Reuben, Pippa, Kacie and Erica.
Here is a sneak preview of next week’s spellings:
Homophones & Near Homophones
Words with /ear/ sound spelt with ‘ere’
Once you’ve learnt ‘ere’ a lot of the words are really easy (especially number 8!)
Ema sent a photo of her cat, Lucie. She looks lovely:
I hope everyone has a great weekend and I look forward to seeing you on Monday.
