Wonderful Holkham’s Week!
Our first congratulations goes to Nicole this week on showing great knowledge of musical terms.
We also had great fun following our conductor Miss Berners with our Boom Whackers in the lesson.
In literacy we have had a go at writing an adventure story and we have started to learn our focussed text.
This week we have been starting to explore adventure stories. Do you know what an adventure story is? Do you know any stories that have an adventure in them? Watch this short video https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zx339j6/articles/zgthrwx
Many in Holkham are still having problems with their times tables, why not practice chanting them with your children. Well done to these children who have been practising at home and are confident with their 10x tables.
Well done Kristian, Artjoms, Nicole, Alesha, Lukas who all scored top marks on their 10x tables.
We have made some fantastic paper sculptures in art this week. We investigated different ways of manipulating the
paper before sticking it to the base board.
We have had some fantastic homework done by the children in Holkham class here are a few for you to see.
These children built some fantastic bridges.
Kristian made a fantastic story board about his holiday.
Swimming – Exciting News for the Year 3/4’s
Swimming will start next week. Our bubble will swim on a Thursday. We will be swimming in 4 separate groups with children swimming every other week. The swimming groups are shown below.
Your child MUST remember to bring their full kit on their swimming day – a swimming costume or trunks, towel and a swimming hat. We are not able to lend any kit so make sure you have your full kit on the correct days, or you won’t be able to swim. Due to Covid19 and social distancing, Mr Holmes and Mrs Smith will not be able to help your child put on their hat and goggles, please practise this at home. Reminders and updates will be shown on our class blog page so make sure you keep an eye on this on the school website.
These children went over and above this week.
