Hard working Holkham!
Our first congratulations of the week goes to Poppy on being the chosen musician of the week not only did she catch up on work missed last week but she learnt our new drumming beat and played it alongside the rest of the class.
We have had a busy week doing assessments and writing our own recounts. We have learnt that we need to use paragraphs for each new idea and we have completed our hot tasks and we are now ready to start our new unit next week.
In art this week we have looked at different sculptures and where we can find them around the UK. Ask your children about the different sculptures we have looked at.
In RE we are looking at the Bible and how it is made up, why not watch this short clip with your children so you can share the information.
We have continued to study the UK and we have learnt that there are 48 counties in England. We know that Kings Lynn is in Norfolk and we have looked at some of the counties which are close to us.
We continue to enjoy our P.E sessions as you can see from these photo’s.
In science we have been looking at forces and the effect of friction on them. Here are some photos of us testing the effects of different surfaces on a toy car.
Finally all these children have made it to the over and above tree.
