Brancaster Class – Weekly Blog

Once again, it’s been a busy week in Brancaster Class.

In maths this week we have been reminding ourselves how to round numbers to the nearest 10 and 100. If you would like to practise this at home then please go to


In English, we had a go at writing our own recount text and we then started to learn our new text my_summer_holiday Recount model text

In topic we have started to explore the United Kingdom. We have used the atlases to locate places in the United Kingdom. Here’s a great lesson on the National Oak Academy website which tells us all about the UK.

We have also been practising mindfulness this week with breathing and some meditation. We have also completed our first Zen drawing, Zentangles! They are amazing!
