A message to Brancaster Class from Mrs Lacey!

Hello Brancaster class.  I hope you are all doing well and finding creative and fun ways to spend your time without school at the moment.

I really enjoy logging on to the school website and checking the great work you are doing. Joseph, I am really impressed with the creative name you gave your fizzy drink, Joeca cola.  Jack, I too have taken a fancy to Halloumi cheese. At meal times, I have been trying to recreate eating experiences that my son really enjoys and one of those was a ‘Nando’s’ meal where we had grilled halloumi and sweet chilli sauce as a starter with the Afro Cuban music that they play in Nando’s blasting out of my Alexa! Toby, I enjoyed your video of your Pac-Man frogs – this was one of my favourite computer games when I was young. I also loved Logan’s video explanation of Roman roads and the fact that Isaac went on a field trip to Gt. Massingham to have a look at one. Did you feed the ducks at the pond Isaac? Well done Alfie for your hard work on Lexia and great job Ethan on your skeleton.  Nancy, your mask looks amazing and has put me to shame as I tried to follow an online tutorial for making a mask out of a sock and ended up with a mess that then went in the bin!

There are so many superb examples of your hard work – far too many for me to list in one message and if I haven’t mentioned your brilliant work, I apologise but please know that I am proud of you all.

I had my brain tested last week by Miss Wintin who messaged me to help with Harlee’s Maths work – I hope I got it right!  I have also been really lucky to see my mum and dad who I have missed dreadfully during the lockdown.  They travelled up from Luton to have a socially distanced visit in my garden and bought me many plant cuttings. I have spent a lot of time in my garden creating new borders, a stumpery (look it up on line) and enjoying the beautiful Norfolk sunshine. My latest purchase last week was a spinning bike which is now sitting proudly in my conservatory! I am determined that I will try to get fitter during this time – fingers crossed.

Continue being fabulous and hopefully see you all soon.
