Winterton blog 21.05.20
Good morning everyone.
Welcome to a new day! Another beautiful day – not so warm today though. What did you do yesterday? I did lots of school work and today I have to do my weekly shop and pick up some things for my parents who are shielding. I think it’s strange how we all use these new terms as part of normal language now – how quickly we adapt to words in a new context. Language is a wonderful and constantly changing thing. What words can you think of, that we now use as part of our daily language in a new context, that we wouldn’t have done a few weeks ago? For example: furlough and Zoom.
Also please remind your parents to email the school office to tell us whether you intend to return to school on 1st June. It is important that we know if you are coming into school or not, so we can arrange our ‘bubbles’ (another word in a new context), and work out who will be covering them.
I posted another peaceful picture today as the set image on this blog because with shopping and standing in long queues at supermarkets, I thought I will certainly need a peaceful state of mind!
Whatever you are doing today – enjoy.
Keep safe and keep smiling
