News from Blakeney Classmates

News from Blakeney class!

I’ve had some interesting phone calls recently. Most of you seem to be happy, though getting a little bored. That’s all understandable. You’re all being so resilient and doing your best to keep going during lockdown. I’m very proud of you. Here’s some news from a few of you that I spoke to:

Lily B. said that she is getting on better than ever with her brothers, which is lovely! I guess this time when the whole family is forced together can be a good thing. I know, my daughter and I have had time to play more games together and talk more, despite working at home.

Zayd sounded very happy on the phone – he couldn’t stop talking about what he’s been doing on the computer and what he’s been learning from Youtube videos. The good thing is, he said, that mum’s always watching to make sure you stays safe online!

I spoke to Preston and his mum too. Preston is actually writing a 500 word story as part of a BBC Radio 2 competition! While this year’s entries are all in, you will all be able to enter next year’s if you write it now. There are lots of tips on how to do it and ideas for great stories on the website. Preston’s doing 100 words a day and is really enjoying it. If anyone else is interested in doing this, head over to the BBC Radio 2 website :

Sophie has also been working hard at home. Mum sent these pictures for me to share:

Well done Sophie! Wonderful to see you staying motivated.
