Heacham and Snettisham 20th May 2020

Good morning,

It’s another gorgeous day isn’t it?  I took Dexter for a walk this morning when it was cooler because I thought it would be too hot later.

If you look at the met office page for King’s Lynn, you can see how hot it will be.  (If it’s too small, then if you click on it it will open up in a new page, bigger, or you can go to the metoffice site and put in King’s Lynn!)

The really important bit is on the bottom line though, and that’s the UV index. (UV means Ultra-Violet, and it’s a kind of light energy that means you can feel the heat, and the kind of light energy that gives people a tan.) Where it’s orange, if you’re outside, you definitely need to have suncream on.  Sunburn is horrible!

Today’s BBC lessons are ready, and the science one is about Forces.  I’ll have a look later and put some Forces work on EducationCity for next week.

If you’re using the BBC lessons, and you’ve got a minute, can you let me know what you think of them?  I quite like them, but I’m not you!

Take care, wash your hands, and I’ll see you when I see you,

Miss Cook
