Snettisham and Heacham 30/04/2020 – Happy Captain Tom Day!
I meant to do this earlier, but I got caught up watching the flypast and celebrations for Captain Tom Moore, who has raised nearly £30 million for the NHS, and is 100 years old today! The flypast was from RAF Conningsby, and so they might have come over this way, so I was using two things – the flightradar app, and an online plane tracker to see where they were going. They didn’t come over us, but they did go over my sister’s house and I was in time to tell her to go outside and look with her children, so that was lovely.
He said “For all those finding it difficult: the sun will shine on you again and the clouds will go away”
Isn’t that a nice thought? Some days are tricky, and that’s ok. We can always find something good, even if it’s a really little thing – yesterday I had the best boiled eggs and airmen that I have ever made! What is your best thing today?
The BBC lessons today are ready,
and there’s an interesting one in the Religious Education that is looking at Judaism. Look at how beautifully the scribe is writing the Torah. (And what’s a Torah? Watch the videos to find out!)
Have a lovely day – hopefully you’re outside instead of reading this, and you’ll read it when the rain comes!
Take care (and wash your hands!)
