Hello Wells Class 27-4-20
Hello Wells Class,
I hope you are all well and have been enjoying the wonderful weather we have been having. I have been making sure I get out for a walk each day for my daily exercise and think it’s really important to keep exercising during the lockdown for both your physical and mental well-being. Hopefully, you’ve been able to get out too whilst making sure you keep to the social distancing rules.
We are now in the second week of the Summer Term. I hope you are finding the Home Learning Grids useful which will allow you to continue with our Power Maths and some of the Literacy activities we would have done if we were in school. Also, you will see details of the Art and DT unit we would have been doing – it will be great to see your creations when we return to school. Education City has tasks set on it each week for you to complete and you can also challenge your friends to games on here. Also, don’t forget that Tackling Tables is there for you to improve your X tables skills.
There are lots of websites which might be interesting for you to use. Some of these might be of interest to you so check them out:
https://www.wild-days.org/ – activities and video for an hour of outdoor learning per day. This week the focus is ‘Shelters’
https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/supermovers – if you like dancing and learning to music, this is the site for you!
https://www.pobble365.com/ – a different image every day with activities to inspire your writing. We sometimes use these in school when we do ‘Short Burst Writing’ and there are some really interesting pictures.
https://www.natgeokids.com/uk/ – with competitions, games and loads more about the world around us.
https://www.tate.org.uk/kids – things to make) games, quizzes and many more interesting and fun things to do.
Take care and stay safe,
