Blakeney Blog 1st April

Good morning Blakeney!

A note from Ms Black

I hope you’re all happy and settling in to home learning life! My sister sent me a beautiful book with lovely positive messages in it so I thought I would share one with you each day. I love this one on the left about listening to your dreams not your fears – so many of us allow our fears to stop us from doing the things we would really love to do!

Well, I’ve already done my yoga and Zumba dance fitness, had a shower, had breakfast and written some emails! And now, I’m preparing for a trip to Amsterdam (virtually of course)! The Home Learning Grid for this week mentions a trip to Ann Frank House in Amsterdam. Would you like to join me? Let’s go!

Year 5/6 Trip to Ann Frank House

KLM Flight to Amsterdam

Departs 10am from Gatwick Airport (meet you there – BUT NOT REALLY – JUST PRETEND!)

Arrives 11:30

Check into 5 Star Hotel  12pm

Take a tram through the city 1pm!

Arrive Ann Frank House 1:30pm

Feel free to explore the house on the following links but don’t forget to take notes and tell me what you found interesting during the visit! Can you tell me who Ann Frank was? What do you learn about her and her family during WW2? What was the secret annex?

Today’s reading from David Walliams

After a tiring but very interesting tour around Ann Frank House, it’s time to relax with a story. It’s Nigel Nit-Boy today!
