Year 3/4 Trip to King’s Lynn Museum

On Tuesday afternoon, the children from years 3 & 4 visited King’s Lynn Museum to explore the lives of the Romans.

We discovered how the Romans kept themselves looking nice and what make up the ladies wore.

We met a Roman Soldier who told us all about their life. We got to try on some of their uniform and learnt about their tactics in battle.

We discovered what the Romans liked to eat and even got to make and try some Roman sweets! Not all of us liked them!

We found out how the Romans spent their free time and what games they liked to play. We tried some of their games and discovered how different they were to the toys we have today.

We looked at some pictures of Roman mosaics and then designed and created some of our own.

We were also able to look at some Roman artifacts. We became Roman detectives and discovered what the Romans used the different items for.

Thank you to everyone at the Museum, we all had a great afternoon!
